Have you ever asked yourself why an online course would be better than a traditional live course? Or why would a one-on-one class be better than a class with a big group of students? I kept asking myself those questions a few times in the past and I have never had a previous experience with online classes before starting my studies at Rocket Sky Online 3D Animation School. And now I must say that I wouldn’t change the online one-on-one training of Rocket Sky for a traditional College at all. But why would someone prefer an online course than a traditional course?

I already was a graduate graphic design student when I started at Rocket Sky School. My entire graphic design course was at the campus of the University with traditional classes. All of them in the classrooms of the University. Usually with 15 students or more, sometimes 40 students at the same class. And during the College I had all kinds of graphic design subjects, also including 1 year of animation classes.

For my big surprise, just after a couple of months studying at Rocket Sky I felt a huge difference in my learning. I had learned way much more in just a couple of months in Rocket Sky than in 1 year of animation classes in the Graphic Design College. And I was really stunned by the learning difference that I kept asking myself why the learning is so different.

It was during the mentoring in in Rocket Sky that I was able to understand why the difference between both (the traditional and the online school) was so huge. Talking about the subject with Garth Drake (founder and one of the mentors of Rocket Sky), I finally understood why.

And I got really glad when I saw the article that Garth Drake wrote in the Mav Core3D magazine about this subject. The article is really great! And I truly recommend that all who are seeking for a career in 3D animation and those who are looking for a 3D animation school read this article. I really believe the article is a required reading for those people.

I wouldn’t be able to explain it better and more clearly than him. So, if you are one of those people and you are still not sure why there is a difference between those kinds of schools. If you are seeking for a career in 3D animation and searching for a school. Or even if you are just interesting about why an online school and a one-on-one mentoring are so different than a traditional school… you must go and see the article for yourself. I’m pretty sure it will be a great reading for you, and it will really open your mind about the subject, and it really will help you in your path for a 3D animation career.
